Massage Licensing Program
Northwest Academy for the Healing Arts is the Northwest's leading academic institution for advancing knowledge in massage therapy and bodywork. Our massage program offers a comprehensive curriculum that integrates the art and science of massage therapy and bodywork, with a well-rounded holistic approach to client care. Our students study a variety of manual therapy techniques, as well as client communication skills and professional ethics. Students also get the opportunity to work with professional massage therapists in a variety of clinical settings during their residencies and externships.
Upon completion of this program students will receive a diploma in massage therapy and bodywork, qualifying them to sit for their national board examinations.
Program Objectives
The objective of our massage therapy program is to prepare our students to pass the National Examination for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork. Upon successful completion of this exam graduates are then qualified to receive a Washington State massage license.
The massage industry is a rapidly changing field. Unlike any other time in history, massage therapists can now find employment opportunities in a large variety of locations. These employment opportunities include athletic training facilities, spas and resorts, hospitals, chiropractic offices, on-site corporations, birthing centers, medical offices, wellness centers, airports, cruise ships, as well as private practice.
